Sharjah has updated the Covid-19 precautionary measures to be followed at home rallies and social events.
For social gatherings, the number of participants was limited to 50 people at home and 100 people in the halls.
The physical distance should also be maintained at 4 meters, the Sharjah Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team announced on Sunday.
Meanwhile, wedding tents will now be allowed with a maximum capacity of 200 people – provided all precautionary measures are in place and social distancing is observed.
However, participation in all events is limited to those fully vaccinated and able to feature Green Pass status on the Alhosn app, the official WAM news agency reported.
In addition, during social events, only half of the capacity of each table will be allowed, with the duration of the event not exceeding four hours.
Authorities urged people with chronic illnesses, the elderly and anyone with symptoms of illness not to attend the events.
