Peter Andrew Rampulla

OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Peter Rampulla, 75, of Old Orchard, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

He was born in Haverhill, Mass. on December 7, 1945, son of the late Andrew Rampulla and Bessie (Pepe) Rampulla.

Peter graduated from the Saint James Central High School class in 1963. After graduating from high school, he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Merrimack College. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree, Peter began his 34-year career with Western Electric Co., formerly AT&T Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies, as a Cost Accounts Clerk in 1966. He was then promoted to Accounts Payable Section Manager. in 1973 and moved to Specialist Finance Manager. Peter retired from Lucent Technologies in 2000.

He was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church and a former parishioner of All Saints Parish, Haverhill, Mass. Peter has participated in many leagues and organizations such as The Sons of Italy, Knights of Columbus, Acorn Village Association Treasurer (2007-2021), coach and president of the Saint Joseph Baseball Little League, member of the Italian club Garibaldi. Most notably, Pete was a longtime member and president of Pentucket Kiwanis, where he was honored to receive the prestigious B’nai B’rith International Award.

A lifelong sports enthusiast in New England, he was passionate about golf, where he played in many golf leagues. He has also enjoyed bowling and softball over the years. Pete had a taste for life, and you could always count on him to be the life of any social gathering, armed with his sharp wit and wild sense of humor. He also loved spending the winter months in Naples, Florida, playing golf and going to the beach.

Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Patricia (Villaire) Rampulla ‘his two children Stephen Rampulla and his wife Deborah of Saint Johns, Florida and Mark Rampulla and his wife Erin of Haverhill, Mass. He was a loving “Grampy†to Nicholas and Brenna and “Gi†to Bree and Shaye, survived by his uncle John and aunt Jean Rampulla, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Christian Burial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 24 at All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, Mass. at 13h. Interment to follow at Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill, Mass.
