LJD leadership to give notice to rebels | Resignation of the president of the LJD

Kozhikode: The Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) state leadership decided to issue a justification notice to 9 rebel members who held a meeting in Thiruvananthapuram. The advice will be sent to LJD leaders, including Sheikh P Harris and V Surendran Pillai.

LJD State President and MP MV Shreyams Kumar, speaking to the media, said these members are obligated to respond to state leaders within 48 hours of accepting the notice.

“The doors of the party will not be closed to members who have violated party discipline if they are prepared to rectify their mistakes. However, if they are about to continue activities contrary to the party, strict measures will be taken, ”he stressed.

Shreyams Kumar condemned the rebel meeting and press conference as a gesture against the LJD.

“The rebels would not be amused in the party. Because we are not trying to weaken the party, we are making efforts to strengthen it, he added.

The leaders who raised the voice of the rebels had demanded that Shreyams Kumar resign as president of the state by November 20. However, Shreyams Kumar informed that the request was denied at Saturday’s meeting.

Although the rebel leaders said they had the support of the only LJD MP, KP Mohanan, and All Inda’s general secretary, Varghese George, both leaders said they were sticking to the party’s decision.
