Brian Curtis Gibson, 74, of Holland Michigan died June 14. Born in LaGrange, Illinois, near Chicago, he was the youngest of four brothers.
Brian is fondly remembered as a warm and loving man. He worked for many years in Holland and Grand Rapids in social service, helping the poor and underserved. Brian served faithfully for years as an elder at Lakeshore Vineyard Christian Fellowship and most recently worshiped at Manna Church in Holland.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his sons Jonathan and Robert, his daughter-in-law Laurie Ann (LA) and his grandchildren Jireh, Casiana and Lilly as well as his brother Norman and his sisters-in-law Ruth and Mary Louise as well as many loving nieces and nephews. A devoted family man, Brian was always available for his loved ones.
Brian graciously offered himself to the anatomical donation program at the University of Michigan.
Memorial contributions in Brian’s memory may be made to the Hospice of Holland or the Van Andel Institute for Cancer Research.
An informal gathering and memorial service will be held at Manna Church 16 W 9th Street, Holland from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 25, 2022. The first half of the gathering will be a time of informal remembrance gathering, the second half will be a time of sharing and homage.
